(my wife's Jack Bauer artistry at work...)LISTEN TO ME.
WE ARE RUNNING *OUT* OF TIME!!!I have a confession to make: I don't really watch TV. I haven't really watched TV in 7 years. 7 years!! That's quite a long time.
But there is one exception to my "No TV" rule, and it is that exception that led Mrs. L and I to get cable last January. That exception is called
"24".
For its season premiere, the first 2 episodes of 24 played last night and tonight the 3rd and 4th episodes aired. I have watched every episode of 24's 6 seasons, and I can tell you that this series of 4 episodes have been the best 4 opening episodes of the show's entire history. The writing on the show is the strongest it has *ever* been - all of the characters have depth, motivation, and the twists have been *insane*. I didn't know how they could top last year's season premiere, but they have...and in fact, it is *better*. I have seen things in the last two days that I never thought I would see on 24...things I never thought I would see on television,
period.
Listen - I wouldn't do this without good reason, but if you think you can't get on board the show because you've missed the first 4 episodes, they have been leaked on the Internet - just do
a search or two for them. Or buy them on ITunes! Whatever you have to do!! You *NEED* to watch this show. It is *that* good. Please, I am *begging* you, because I care about you -
find these first four episodes and watch them. And *PLEASE* -
watch 24 next Monday night. You will not regret it. Trust me, it's historical TV.
