I Wish These People Updated More Than Once a Year

My last post was apparently too hot for TV - so in it's place, a tip that you've likely all known about but I didn't realize!  This actually would've been a bigger list but Coding Horror kind of stole my thunder a week or two back.  So just one tip instead, and you can get the rest from his post!!  Remote Desktop has a command line interface, of the form:

SystemRoot\system32\mstsc.exe /v:server

Replace server with the name or IP of the machine you want to jump to. Makes it terribly easy to jump to, especially if you hook it into SlickRun (and if you don’t have SlickRun, why not??)

Slickrun is da bomb, for sure!

You could also do this through OpenSSH and take remote control of a box this way (with built-in encryption! Not sure if Remote Desktop offers this). The only disadvantage is that the box you try to jump to has to be running Linux (or you could install Cygwin on your windows box, and SSH through that to access your windows folders). Still, cool tip!
